Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. She is best known for her roles in the American television series Law & Order, on which she played the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also been an actor in films like RoboCop 3 or Most Wanted and independent films Chutney Popcorn, which she co-directed. Hennessy was a native of Edmonton, Alberta. She was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy's sister and she made their acting debuts as twin callgirls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who ultimately got the part, claimed that she was shortlisted to portray Dana Scully in The X-Files. She played the role for three seasons before resigning the show in 1996.
