Annie Wersching Bio

Annie Wersching (born March 28, 1977) is an American actor who is known for her role as Renee Walker in the American television series 24 and also for her voice work and motion capture for the character of Tess in Naughty Dog's video game The Last of Us. Wersching was raised in St. Louis. She graduated from Crossroads College Preparatory School, St. Louis' Central West End in the year 1995. In her youth she was a competitive Irish dancer, and was a part of the St. Louis Celtic stepdancers. She has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre from Millikin University, graduating in 1999. Wersching started her acting career by making guest appearances on the television show Star Trek: Enterprise, before moving on to guest starring roles in shows such as Charmed, Killer Instinct, Supernatural as well as Cold Case. From March 2007 until November 2007, she was in the role of Amelia Joffe on ABC Daytime's soap opera General Hospital. She has also been a part of theaters such as Victory Gardens and Marriott Lincolnshire. She also appeared as a series regular on Bosch, an Amazon Prime crime-show Bosch in 2014. Wersching played the National League's catcher in 2009 Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. In December 2012, it was discovered that Wersching was the voice actor and mo-cap actor for Tess in the PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us. Geoff Keighley teased Wersching's character via Twitter before her appearance was revealed in the Spike Video Game Awards trailer that premiered on December 7 the 7th of December, 2012. Wersching is set to play the role of the Borg queen in the Star Trek: Picard's second season in September 2021.
