Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter
of Kjellfrid Andreassen, a former midwife as well as a nurse in Norway. She was
born on April 25 the year 1969, in Katy. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is
an engineer from Switzerland. The couple were married in the year 1963. Drew
Zellweger was Renee's older brother. He is an executive in the field of
marketing who was born on February 15, 1967. Renee got interested in acting in
high school when she was working in the drama group. In Austin, she also
attended an acting class and began to study acting as a profession. She was
determined to act after she graduated, but Hollywood can be a difficult field
to get into. Renee decided not to leave Texas and went to audition in Houston
for roles. Matthew McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer that she met
filming for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). McConaughey
was working on an idea which Renee was interested in. She which she auditioned
for and ultimately won the part in the film Love and .45 (1994) that brought
her critical acclaim that she decided to move to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough
came from another film role in The Whole Wide World (1996). Cameron Crowe was
busy casting his next film which was Jerry Maguire (1996),starring Tom Cruise. Crowe
was looking into the actresses Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder
(Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei. He came across Zellweger's performance at The
Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was convinced he had found
the perfect Dorothy Boyd. Renee continued her popularity with a few independent
films and after receiving more praise from critics and confidence, she decided
to reenter the realm of large-budget Hollywood films. She was a co-star with
Meryl Streep in the tearjerker One True Thing (1998). She also took a role in
Me, Myself & Irene (2000) and starred opposite Jim Carrey, and soon
after that, she started dating Jim Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
