21 Savage Bio

Born in Newham, England and raised on the Eastside of Atlanta 21 Savage, comes from an environment of struggle, poverty violence, and crime. This pain and anger come across as a clear message through his music: don't mess with me or my people. Beginning with his debut mixtape "The Slaughter Tape", 21 has developed a sound that's somewhere in between Atlanta's Trap or Chicago's Drill. It's a hyper intense and real view of Atlanta. He has built important friendships with Super Producers Sonny Digital, Metro Boomin, and upstart F-12. Sonny Digital collaborated on his follow-up tape 'Free Guwop EP. It was his way to pay homage to East Atlanta's GucciMane. Savage's third single, Slaughter King, released in December of 2015, has officially placed 21 Savage on the map as a rapper to watch. Shortly after the release, Savage was named by XXL as a Freshman of 2016. With the release 'Savage Mode' (July 2016) which was a collaboration with super producer, Metro Boomin', 21 Savage has taken his underground fame to mainstream success, receiving 11.6kplus in sales during the first week of being an independent artist charting #1 for a full week ahead of Drake, Schoolboy Q, and Logic. "Savage Mode" remains at the top of the charts on Apple Music in its third week (not only hip-hop). Momentum for the rapper only rose after "Savage Mode." The rapper then released "Issa" and the collaborative track "Without Warning" with Metro Boomin and Offset from the Migos. 21 Savage has a partnership with Epic Records, a label that is owned by Sony Music Entertainment.
